MIRACLE POWER IN THE CHURCH
It all began with a miraculous display of power; the heaven and the earth created (made from nothing), (Genesis 1:1); the voice of God speaking "Let there be" and all as we know of it around us came into existence, the Spirit of God walking in the Garden of Eden to commune with Adam and Eve. The initial did not seem to be enough, but a group of people were led out of bondage to follow a "cloud and pillar of fire"; a group of approximately four million people to be fed by "manna" that fell from the heavens and to think the shoes on their feet never wore out nor did the clothes on their back.
It should be a foreshadow to all of mankind the type of relationship God would have with His people. A conception, birth, ministry and all which was associated with this "man" called Jesus would leave the most intelligent man in a baffled state of mind. Where else could one be found who could not only lay down His life but also take it up again - let alone ascend into the heavens. With one of such great, unquestionable power; there is not a single reason to be assured He will not return in like manner as He promised the disciples. Not only did He promise to return, but also assured the disciples they (and the Church) would have the same power.
